Better Business Bureau

As an update to the ongoing story of Vision Airlines (also known as Vision Holidays) being a total rip off, my wife and I have filed a claim against Vision with the Better Business Bureau. More details to come as they become available.

Vision Airlines are Crooks!

This blog is being started as a public service to anyone hoping to travel to the Grand Canyon on their next trip to Las Vegas. Vision Airlines offers a fraudulent service with terrible customer relations, and I hope that this blog will help others to avoid the mistake I made on my last trip to Las Vegas.

My wife and I paid almost $300 per person to visit and tour the Grand Canyon via a helicopter ride. We were picked up at 11:20 and PROMISED to be brought back to our hotel no later than 7:20 with 3 hours to spend at the Grand Canyon. Once we arrived to the airport, we waited about 30 minutes and watched two planes leave. They pick which planes left first at random. After the two planes left they took the rest of us to a $7 buffet in North Las Vegas for over one and a half hours. Apparently they do this everyday, and someone was supposed to tell us about it; but NO ONE knew about this. They did not give any refunds or even discounts. Instead, everyone filled out a "complaint form." We returned to the airport at 3:00 and departed to the Grand Canyon at 4:15. We landed at 5:00 and we got into a bus that took us to the Canyon. Once we arrived at the first stop on the tour, we were given 30 minutes to walk to the Canyon and get back to the bus. After that the bus took us to another stop where we were given another 30 minutes and we were all then shuttled back to the airplane to go back to Vegas. We spent a total of one hour of what should have been three at the Grand Canyon. Once we arrived we waited about 20 minutes for a bus. It was already 8:30pm when the bus arrived (well beyond the 8 hours they promised us and we missed the shuttle bus that we paid for to take us to the airport from our hotel at 8:30 for our 11pm flight). Finally the bus came but the luggage door wouldn't shut and they wouldn't send another bus. Instead, they were trying to get a hold of a mechanic to come and fix it. We didn't have time to wait since we were going to miss our flight, and we tried to make them pay for our cab ride home since they promised us an 8 hour round trip (FROM DOOR TO DOOR). They refused and at 9pm we had to pay for a cab ride home along with another group of other infuriated people.

The trip was a complete disaster, and throughout the entire day no one would volunteer any information about what was happening or why, nor would anyone take any accountability at any point in the ordeal. Every person we complained to would give only a complaint form and say there was nothing they could do about it, including the supposed "General Manager". Aside from the $600 lost by me and my wife for the trip, we also lost another $50 on the cab ride to the hotel, and another $20 on the cab ride to the airport once we collected our bags from the hotel, none of which Vision Airlines even offered to alleviate in any way. The entire group for the day was furious and Vision has yet to rectify the situation in any way, nor do they plan to.

Please let this be a lesson to anyone who reads this blog and DO NOT use Vision Airlines if you ever decide to visit the Grand Canyon while in Las Vegas. Save yourself the money and the headache.
